Kembla Australian Standard Copper Tube AS 1432

Kembla seamless copper tube manufactured to Australian Standard AS1432 is suitable for use in pressure and non-pressure plumbing, gas fitting and drainage applications and is available in sizes is available in 6.35mm up to 254mm. Kembla Copper Tube is available as “Hard Drawn” straight lengths, “Bendable Quality” (BQ) straight lengths, annealed coils and 120kg or 240kg layer wound packs for use by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) . All Kembla Copper Tubes are available in a variety of wall thickness to meet the safe working pressure requirements for varying applications.

Kembla copper tube to AS1432 is also available in pre-lagged straights and coils suitable for a variety of end-use applications where tube is to be protected from aggressive environments, concealed and/or to indicate the medium being transported (e.g. recycled water). Ideal for drinking water, all Kembla plumbing copper tubes are lead-free, Watermark Certified (Licence No. WMKA0945) and meet the stringent testing requirements of AS 4020: Materials in Contact with Drinking Water.

  • ‘Kemlag’ Pre-insulated copper tube is available with a green plastic sheathing. Used in a variety of end use applications e.g. short run domestic hot water lines, burying in corrosive soils, laying under floors and concrete slabs (where approved), chasing into walls and masonry, pipework exposed to aggressive environments.
  • Lagged copper tubes for recycled water are available with a lilac coloured lagging. Used for the purpose of differentiating between drinking water pipes and those used for recycled water.
  • ‘Kemline’ biscuit coloured pre-insulated tube is used as LP gas pipelines for vehicle engines and satisfies the requirements of AS 1425.

An intensive ISO 9001 certified quality control system is applied to all MM Kembla AS 1432 copper plumbing tube to ensure all MM Kembla seamless copper tube is made from high residual phosphorous deoxidised copper classified as C12200 Alloy and conforms to AS1432 and Australian Watermark certification requirements.
MM Kembla warrants that if any installation using MM Kembla copper tube becomes defective or fails and MM Kembla is notified of the details and is satisfied that the defect or failure was a result of a manufacturing defect and not the result of faulty specification, installation or incompatible environment, MM Kembla will replace or repair the defective goods and make good the installation.

Kembla New Zealand Standard Copper Tube NZ 3501

Kembla NZS 3501 copper tubes are manufactured to the specific tube requirements adopted in New Zealand. Suitable for general plumbing purposes, both hot and cold, sanitation, and general engineering applications. Kembla Copper Tube is available as “Hard Drawn” straight lengths, “Bendable Quality” (BQ) straight lengths and annealed coils in diameters from DN15 – DN150 nominal and in a variety of wall thicknesses to meet light and heave gauge requirements. Standard lengths of 5 m are manufactured to facilitate ease of containerisation and use.

Kembla copper tube to NZS 3501 is also available in green pre-lagged straights suitable for a variety of end-use applications where tube is to be concealed or protected from aggressive environments. Ideal for drinking water, all Kembla plumbing copper tubes are lead-free and meet the stringent testing requirements of AS 4020: Materials in Contact with Drinking Water.

When using KemPress AS3688 copper alloy fittings for installations in New Zealand, Kembla Copper Tube to AS 1432 must be used as a substitute to NZS 3501 copper tube. Currently, press fittings are not available in to suit the copper tube sizes stipulated in the NZS 3501 copper tube standard.
